Blog Hop: Fashion Tips
Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is having a blog hop on fashion tips this week, so I decided I would post some cheap and reasonable fashion tips.
1. Buy Stuff at the end of each season for next year. (For example: A lot of stores are having great sales on winter items now, go ahead and stock up for next year)

2. Accessories make an outfit! Buy jewelry and other accessories at Forever 21, Charlotte Russe and Charming Charlies. Both places are very reasonable and are perfect for everyday outfits.
3. Don't spend alot of money on trendy items. Most of the time, they will not be the big trend the following year, so why waste all your money on that item. For these items, try the stores above or TJ Max or Ross. You can find some great looks for alot less expensive at these stores.
4. Spend money on the items you will wear from year to year (Blue Jeans, Black Pants, Black Dress Shes, Etc.) You will definitely get your monies worth out of those items.

Heart and Sole 5K Fun Run
Gabe's Hope Inc., a non-profit organization founded by a friend of mine, Amy Sims, is holding their inaugural Heart & Sole 5K Run for Hope on February 6th. There is also a fun run/walk. Freezer Meal Swap
If you want to save money and are getting tired of the same old dinners at your house you should try to have a meal swap!! A few friends and I started having one back in October and it's been so nice to have some different meals for supper. We started out with 4 people and we now how 7 people that are going to participate this month. Here are the rules we follow:
- Each Person makes one meal for each member. (For example: I am making Chicken Tetrazini this month, so I will make 7 different batches of Chicken Tetrazinni. Since we all have smaller families, we only make each meal to feed 3-4 people)
- We then meet up once a month and swap all the meals. You will need up going home with 7 different meals (including the one you made).
- This month we are trying to spend under $25 per person for all ingredients. (25/7 meals == $3.57 per meal)
This has worked out great for our family, because it gives me more time at night to spend with my family and you also don't have to worry about whats for dinner every night. You just thaw the meal the night before and then you have a home cooked meal for dinner!
If you're in the Northport area and you're interested in joining our swap let me know. We would love to have more people. Or you could always start a swap of your own.
